Traveling from OR Tambo International Airport to the Future Africa Campus:
The Future Africa Campus of the University of Pretoria is approximately a 1- hour drive (50 km) from Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport. There is, unfortunately, no public transport that passes by the Future Africa Campus complex – we, therefore, recommend a transfer, an Uber, or a self-drive (car hire).
Please scroll down for more information on transfer options, including Private Airport Transfer Services, and vehicle rental services. Please note that Uber is also available. There is, unfortunately, no public transport available that passes by the Future Africa Campus complex.
1. Pre-book a Transfer from OR Tambo International Airport to the Future Africa Campus or other accommodation and return
To pre-book a transfer and pay by credit card you can use any of the following services. (Please note that there are many other airport shuttle services available over and above those listed below):

You can reserve an individual transfer or group transfers.

3. Directions to Future Africa
From OR Tambo International Airport:
Travel along the R21 freeway and follow the directions to Pretoria until you reach the N1 North freeway (Pretoria–Polokwane).
Travel along the N1 North freeway until you reach the Lynnwood Road off-ramp.
Turn left into Lynnwood Road, passing several sets of traffic lights.
Turn right into Jan Shoba Street (previously Duncan Street).
Turn right into South Street for the Hillcrest Campus (LC de Villiers Sports Grounds) entrance.
Continue for approximately 1 km and enter at the Experimental Farm entrance (hpc School to the right)
Keep left and follow the road for 1 km to arrive at the Future Africa Campus entrance.
From the west (Pretoria city centre):
Travel along Francis Baard Street (previously Schoeman Street), direction east, until you reach Gordon Road.
Turn right into Gordon Road, which becomes Jan Shoba Street (previously Duncan Street).
Turn left into South Street for the Hillcrest Campus (LC de Villiers Sports Grounds) entrance.
Continue for approximately 1 km and enter at the Experimental Farm entrance (hpc School to the right)
Keep left and follow the road for 1 km to arrive at the Future Africa Campus entrance.
From the north:
Take the N1 South freeway (towards Johannesburg).
Take the N4 off-ramp (Witbank freeway).
Follow the N4 West freeway (towards Pretoria), which becomes Pretorius Street.
Turn left into Gordon Road, which becomes Jan Shoba Street (previously Duncan Street).
Turn left into South Street for the Hillcrest Campus (LC de Villiers Sports Grounds) entrance.
Continue for approximately 1 km and enter at the Experimental Farm entrance (hpc School to the right)
Keep left and follow the road for 1 km to arrive at the Future Africa Campus entrance.
From Johannesburg:
Take the N1 North freeway (towards Polokwane).
Take the Lynnwood Road off-ramp.
Turn left into Lynnwood Road, passing several sets of traffic lights.
Turn right into Jan Shoba Street (previously Duncan Street).
Turn right into South Street for the LC de Villiers Sports Grounds entrance.
Turn right into South Street for the Hillcrest Campus (LC de Villiers Sports Grounds) entrance.

Keep left and follow the road for 1 km to arrive at the Future Africa Campus entrance.
From the Hatfield Gautrain Station:
Travel along Grosvenor Street, direction south.
Turn left into South Street across Jan Shoba Street for the Hillcrest Campus (LC de Villiers Sports Grounds) entrance.
Continue for approximately 1 km and enter at the Experimental Farm entrance (hpc School to the right)
Keep left and follow the road for 1 km to arrive at the Future Africa Campus entrance.
From the Hatfield Campus:
